The Rosedale neighborhood is located in the northern part of Central Austin. The neighborhood borders on 38th Street to the south, Shoal Creek to the west, North Loop / Hancock Drive to the north, and Lamar Boulevard to the the east. Ramsey Park, with its swimming pool, tennis courts, playgrounds, and picnic areas, is located in the heart of the neighborhood.
